With Deepest Sympathies, We Remember Dottie Watson
The Mundelein Park District offers our deepest sympathies at the passing of Dottie Watson, President and Curator for the Historical Society of the Fort Hill Country and the Fort Hill Heritage Museum, who passed on August 30, 2018.
If you have ever visited the Fort Hill Heritage Museum, chances are you were given a tour by Dottie. For 62 years, Dottie Watson and her late husband Leland “Trig” Watson shared a passion for history and dedicated much of their time to preserving the history of Mundelein.
Dottie worked tirelessly to preserve and educate the public about the historical significance of the Village of Mundelein and Fremont Township. The meticulously maintained Fort Hill Heritage Museum is a source of pride for the community and Dottie’s legacy will endure for generations to come.
We will miss her and are so grateful for all of her contributions.
