Mundelein Park & Recreation District welcomes Kyle Berg to the position of Superintendent of Recreation and Facilities Services. Berg comes to Mundelein from Winnetka Park District and has served as Superintendent of Recreation since July 2021.
Berg is a graduate of Boston University with a B.S. in Health Sciences. He earned an M.S. in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland. Following an impressive career as a college swim coach at Kenyon College, Florida Atlantic University, Northwestern University, and Rollins College, Berg worked for Chicago Public Schools as the Athletic Program Administrator. He is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator (CPO).

Kyle and his wife, Jamie, have a son – Evan (3), and a dog – Addison (6). The Bergs are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a second boy this fall. The Bergs have lived in Mundelein since 2021 and enjoy Barefoot Bay, neighborhood parks, and countless other MPRD amenities.
