The Park District is governed by five elected Commissioners who set policy for the District’s operation. Park District Board meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at The Regent Center (1200 Regent Drive). The public is welcome to attend.
Candidates interested in running for the Mundelein Park & Recreation District Board of Commissioner can pick up petition packets starting Monday, August 19. Petition packets can be picked up from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Mundelein Community Center, 1401 N. Midlothian Road in Mundelein or please click the link to download and print the packet. Three elected, candidate positions will be up for election on April 1. Two candidate positions are for a six-year term each, and one candidate position is for a two-year term. Commissioners must be a qualified elector of the park district with one-year residency in the park district preceding the election. (70 ILCS 1205/2-11)
