Freedom Classic 5K Walk/Run (All Ages)
July 4, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Dress in your red, white, and blue and jump-start your 4th in our 42nd Freedom Classic 5K. Blast off down Midlothian and travel through scenic Loch Lomond and the Keith Mione Community Park in this professionally chip-timed course. Post-race, participants can cool off in our spray park, grab a patriotic donut and refreshments to fuel up for the rest of your 4th of July engagements. Runners and walkers can register online at mundeleinparks.org. The first 300 paid registrants receive a race t-shirt. $100 cash award for 1st overall male and female finishers, as well as medals for 1st–3rd place finishers in each age group.
Free 1/2 mile Kids Race (Ages 8 & under) will begin at approximately 9 am. Race to the finish for an icy cold freeze pop & medal.
Note: Registration will end June 30 at 11:59 pm. On-site registration will re-open on July 4.
Race Day: Registration will be available in front of the Mundelein Community Center entrance from 6:30–7:45 am.
Packet Pickup: Held at the Mundelein Park and Recreation District, 1401 N. Midlothian Rd. Date: July 1–3 at the Customer Service Desk in the Mundelein Community Center.
