Due to concerns regarding the transmission of COVID-19, upcoming group walks have been cancelled. We will carefully monitor the recommendations for public facilities and assess the situation each week. As soon as it is possible to do so, we look forward to returning to regular activities.
GO MUNDELEIN is a new community movement designed to increase community health through activity, education and collaboration. This movement is in response to the U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek H. Murthy’s call to action at the National Park and Recreation conference in September 2015. His challenge focuses on the health benefits for people of all ages and stages of life walking at least 30 minutes each day.
Now that the weather is warming up, walks will be outdoors (weather permitting: 45° or above). If weather is inclement, it will be moved indoors on the Community Center track. Children, strollers and leashed pets are welcome on outdoor walks. Children must be 12 or older to walk on the track with an adult.
