Miss Heather has been teaching dance since 1999 in the Northwest Suburbs. She started her dance training in Palatine at the Bonnie Lindholm School of Dance when she was just three years old. In 1992, she was asked to join their award wining Dance Company. She studies under teachers such as: Al Gilbert, Michael Taylor, Bonnie Lindholm, Terry Lindholm, Jr., Corrinna Lindholm Stoner and many more. Heather has attended numerous dance convention and competitions to also add to her dance training. She has performed at Walkt Disney World in Orlando, Universal Studios, in the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival with Disney, Daley Center, Navy Pier, for Chicago Bull’s Half Times and the Museum of Science & Industry just to name a few. Heather started as an assistant teacher when she was thirteen years old and began teaching when she was sixteen.

Heather graduated from Lake Forest College in 2005 with a BA in history and religion. In 2009, she completed a Master’s in Elementary Education from National Louis University. Heather feels lucky to be able to combine her passion for dance and love for teaching together. She is also excited to manage the program as the Assistant Dance Coordinator.

Heather lives in Villa Park with her husband, Brian, their children, Connor and Eleanor and their Italian Greyhound, Winston.

Kathleen Foster

Kathleen Foster is pumped to join the Mundelein Park District Dance Program. Kathleen is a Chicago native and recent Mundelein transplant. She has her undergraduate degree in musical theatre and her graduate degree in education with a specialization in early childhood. At Western Illinois University, she studied tap, ballet, jazz, modern, and musical theatre dance as well as performed and choreographed for University Dance Theatre, a professional modern-based dance company. Since graduating from WIU in 2010, Kathleen has travelled around the country performing and teaching music, drama and dance. She worked as a dance instructor for Riversong Dance Studio teaching tap, musical theatre dance, conditioning for both dance companies and several adult fitness classes in Knoxville, TN. While working as a tour actor/director for Missoula Children’s Theatre, she was able to teach musical theatre choreography to children all over the US and Canada. Lexington Children’s Theatre trained Kathleen as an education intern, where she taught, acted and choreographed for their productions. Kathleen also teaches for The Stage School in Park Ridge and the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago.

When she is not in the studio she enjoys hula hooping, group fitness, playing darts and spending time with her husband, Kenny. She is an avid Bears fan, and owner to one small and naughty Chiweenie (chihuahua/dachshund) named Nugget. She is most excited about meeting students, families and becoming a part of the Mundelein community!

Sabrina Lee

Sabrina started dancing when she was three years old and came to the Mundelein Park District Dance Program when she was five. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and pointe. She performed in the 2013 Nutcracker with the Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble and has taken classes at Dance Academy of Libertyville. She has attended dance competitions and dance conventions with the Mundelein Dance Company, such as Dance Idol, Stars of Dance, Dupree Dance, and Hall of Fame. Sabrina is a five time solo dancer, winning numerous platinum and overall awards. She is currently the 2016 Regional Champion in the 15-18 year old Solo Rec Division at the Hall of Fame Dance Challenge.

Sabrina also competes and performs with the Mundelein High School Dance Team, on which she made Varsity as a sophomore. As a part of the MHS Dance Team, Sabrina became a 2015 All-American Dancer at their UDA summer camp, and her team placed 8th at the 2016 IHSA State Finals.

Along with taking and teaching dance classes, Sabrina also plays Girls Lacrosse at Mundelein High School. Sabrina is currently Junior Class Secretary and is also a member of Link Crew.

Natalie Miller

Miss Natalie is a 22 year-old dancer from Johnsburg, Illinois. She recently received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Spanish from Carthage College, where she was a member of the Red Hots Dance Team. Natalie comes to us with 15+ years of dance experience, both recreational and competitive. Her favorite styles include jazz and hip-hop. Natalie hopes to inspire young dancers the way her past teachers inspired her.

Stephanie Nece

Miss Stephanie began her dance training at age three at Gallina Dance Studio in Des Plaines, where her mother had trained as a ballet dancer. Throughout her childhood years she trained at several other studios including the Arlington Heights Park District and the Denise Sabala Dance Company. At age 15, Stephanie made her choreographic debut with the northwest suburban premiere of “The Who’s Tommy” with Don Leonard’s Family Theatre. Then at age 16, her mentor Donna Jagielski asked her to join professional dance company 98 Fahrenheit as one of its founding members. After graduating from St. Viator High School, Stephanie went on to study Musical Theatre and Dance at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on a performance scholarship. There she was captain of the Viterbo University Dance Team and participated in a cultural exchange program with the Belize National Dance Company, performing in cities throughout Belize. Stephanie also began travelling across the Midwest region to choreograph for show choirs, dance teams, musical theatre productions, and competition teams. In addition to working as an independent choreographer, Stephanie taught dance at Marilyn School of Dance and Eau Claire School of Dance, as well as the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre Company. She then went on to earn her graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University Chicago and began working as a full-time fine arts educator for the Archdiocese of Chicago and District 25 in Arlington Heights. For the last seven years she has also been a choreographer at Big Deal Productions Theatre Company in Buffalo Grove.

Miss Sommer began dancing at the age of 4 with the Mundelein Park District. Beginning with ballet and tap, she has expanded her studies to include jazz, lyrical, pointe, and hiphop. She began to dance competitively with the Mundelein Dance Company at the age of 10, as well as performing at such venues as Six Flags Great America, Navy Pier, and the Brookfield Zoo. During her time at Fremont Middle School, she was on the Poms team for two years, which competed as well as performed at school basketball games.

Sommer is a member of Mundelein High School’s dance team, competing at various high schools and performing at football and basketball games. During her sophomore year of high school, she was co-captain of the Junior Varsity Dance Team. Through this program, she has studied under teachers including Eugene Peabody. Along with the rest of her teammates, she attends UDA dance camp at the University of Wisconsin each summer to further her dance education. Sommer is also very involved at Mundelein High School, where, in addition to dance team, she is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and band, as well as playing piano.
