Join us for the GO MUNDELEIN Kick-off at the Freedom Classic, June 30, 8 am (right after the start of the Freedom Classic 5K) at Community Park  to walk together as a community.

Join us for the GO MUNDELEIN Kick-off at the Freedom Classic, June 30, 8 am (right after the start of the Freedom Classic 5K) at Community Park to walk together as a community. We will Walk for 30 minutes around the Community Park area. An Advocate Healthcare Professional will be there to answer your health questions. All participants will receive a GO MUNDELEIN T-shirt and be entered for a raffle prize.

GO MUNDELEIN is a new community movement designed to increase community health through activity, education and collaboration. This movement is in response to the U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek H. Murthy’s call to action at the National Park and Recreation conference in September 2015. His challenge focuses on the health benefits for people of all ages and stages of life walking at least 30 minutes each day.

Walk with a Doctor at our first Go Mundelein Event

Course: 1.5 mile loop    
Give-away: Go Mundelein T-shirt and wristband

JULY
Tuesday, July 10: 
Participate in  a free fitness class in our park at 6 pm and then join the fitness staff on a 1.5 mile walk.
Time: 6:45 pm walk
Location: Kracklauer Park, 100 N. Seymour Ave.
Course: Walk from Kracklauer Park to Hanrahan Park and back.
Give-away: Free one-day to Park View Health & Fitness

AUGUST

Location: Independence Grove Forest Preserve, North Bay Pavillon, 16400 Buckley Rd., Libertyville
Course: Walk through the forest preserve with hundreds of members of Lake County communities.

OCTOBER
Saturday, October 13:
Walk with your Dog, (in conjunction with Doggy Trick or Treat event)
Time: 11:30 am
Location: Community Park, 1401 N. Midlothian Rd. 
Course: Walk from Community Park to Asbury Park around and back.
Give-away: Doggy Bandana
